A Space-Saving Loft Bed

September 24th, 2012 | Posted by KristenM in Home Furniture | Kids Furniture - (0 Comments)

kids bunk bedsKids’ bunk beds and loft beds are ideal for the parents a bit tight on space. Bunk beds in general, though, have long been desired by children–probably because they’re told it is fun to have the top bunk. But as your children age and require more space, consider a loft bed. A loft bed gives your child or teen the chance to still enjoy the top bunk with the space for a desk underneath.

Children need their own personal space and, you would hope, they will use the space to complete homework and projects. At Everything Furniture, we have a beautiful collection of loft beds to match your child’s décor. And with stylish choices, your child will begin to feel like a young adult thanks to our modern furniture. The Lea Elite Loft Bed is made from light brown wood and features a spacious desk complete with chair. The bed is currently on sale for $1,369 and ships for free.

A more affordable option is the Sunrise Work Station Loft Bed, which comes in both silver and black. The modern design is ideal for the teen with simple tastes. The metal frame provides a sturdy bed and workstation, and it is easy to assemble. The bed is only $449.

A Comfortable Futon

September 19th, 2012 | Posted by KristenM in Living Room Furniture - (0 Comments)

living room furnitureThe word “comfort” is not always associated with the word “futon.” People mistakenly lump the futon in with dorm room furniture or the furniture of a 24-year-old with his or her first apartment. At Everything Furniture we are here to put those myths to rest, once and for all. Not only are the futons we have for sale comfortable, they are stylish and will fit in beautifully with the rest of your living room furniture.

The Alena Sofa Bed, for example, is a plush choice with soft, tufted microfiber suede. Who would not want to sleep on that? But besides being made with a soft cover and cushion, the hazelnut color blends in with just about any style in the home.

The Montego Futon Set not only comes with a culturally inspired futon design, but also a matching chair, an ottoman, coffee table, and end table. The set is currently on sale for just $905, making it quite the bargain!

The futon no longer has to be the dorm room accessory it once was. With the right designs and best materials, the futon is a sought after piece of furniture, providing comfortable seating and a convenient place to sleep for guests. Browse our selection and enjoy the best prices on the Internet.

Stylish Beds for the Modern Child’s Room

September 10th, 2012 | Posted by KristenM in Kids Furniture - (0 Comments)

home furnitureThe fashions of children are perpetually changing, and not just in what’s “in” for kids. More like your children are in love with ponies one day and despise them the next. A few years after the switch from the crib to the toddler bed, children might be less inclined to sleep in a bed shaped like a race car or a fairy castle. Once they approach double digits, switch out the child’s bed for one that is more modern, and less pink. A modern bed will grow with your child throughout his or her teenage years. Instead of having to purchase an entirely new frame, you’ll be able to change the bedding and accessories.

Everything Furniture has child beds to meet all styles and taste preferences. The Shoal Creek Twin Bookcase Headboard in white will pair beautifully with the light colors your daughter loves. It is even available in Oak to match the darker blues and greens boys tend to favor. Platform beds with drawers create added storage space. Young teens will fall in love with the look of metal frames, especially the Westfield Canopy Bed–which comes in both twin and full size.

Simple, yet beautiful furniture gives parents, and children, more versatility as tastes change. Browse our collections of modern children’s bedroom furniture, all at affordable prices.

Redecorating for Fall

September 3rd, 2012 | Posted by KristenM in Home Furniture - (0 Comments)

home furnitureNow that September has officially begun, homeowners are looking for ways to spruce up the home and decorate for fall. You shouldn’t whip out the pumpkins just yet, but you can begin to formulate ideas and start shopping. There is no need to buy all new home furniture just to add vitality to a room. Simple additions will harvest the look of fall.

Look for new throw pillows to spruce up living room furniture. Hues of green, red, orange, and golden yellow will bring fall life to sofas, chairs, and other seating. Pull down the sheer white curtains on windows and try thicker, darker drapes. Replace vases with fall flowers such as orange and red mums and pussy willow branches.

Autumn-scented candles will be hitting stores around now, along with festive candle holders to match. Candles are a great addition to living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and even kitchens. Candlescaping is an easy and inexpensive way to change the tone of the home each season. A new wreath on the front door will welcome guests into a jovial home.

Find more than just great home furniture at Everything Furniture. We have beautiful accessories to usher you into each new season and to create stylish new designs.

Finding the Right Bedding

August 27th, 2012 | Posted by KristenM in Bedroom Furniture - (0 Comments)

We spend almost one-third of our lives in a bedroom, and that only accounts for when we sleep! Think about all the times we curl up with a book or watch television. The bedroom is our sanctuary, our safe haven. With so much time spent in the bedroom, people should place a good deal of focus on the design. It’s best if you paint the room and purchase home furniture first and then find a bedding set to match.

When you’re ready to choose bedding, there are three factors to consider: quality, style, and color. Obviously you want to buy trustworthy brands, which we sell right here at Everything Furniture. Bedding should be able to last you several years, but it should also be soft and cozy. Colors and style need to blend in well with the rest of the room. Colors should be complementary and there should never be too much of one color or shade. Pale greens and blues offer a serene, relaxing ambiance. Bold or dark colors fill the room with excitement.

Colors also need to match style. Black and white, modern bedding will look a bit ridiculous on a country cottage poster bed. Throw pillows are another way to highlight style and add a bit more personality. Check out our beautiful selection of bedding that will fit all budgets.

Dorm Room Essentials

August 20th, 2012 | Posted by KristenM in Home Furniture - (0 Comments)

home furnitureEverything Furniture has plenty of home furniture to create a well-designed, comfortable home. With school just around the corner, many are flocking to furniture stores to find items for their child’s dorm room. We’re happy to provide accent furniture and storage options for the cramped, yet cozy dorm room you child is about to call home for the next four years.

Storage bins and boxes will prove the most useful of all items. Your child will feel incomplete without the majority of his or her belongings, but good luck finding room for it all. Storage bins don’t have to succumb to fashion atrocity. Our set of 3 storage baskets are affordable and adorable.

Smaller bookcases are available to house all those textbooks that, hopefully, your child intends to read. There are several options ranging from $60-$120 and they’ll look just as stylish when your college grad moves into his first real apartment after college too.

Table lamps, rugs, and wall art will make the dorm room feel more like home and a little less like a barren box with no personality. The dorm will never replace the comfort of one’s own home, but it can still feel like a safe haven. Browse our home furniture sections to create a dorm with more style and all the essentials.

An Efficient Flat Screen TV Stand

August 13th, 2012 | Posted by KristenM in Entertainment Centers - (0 Comments)

flat screen TV standThese days just about everyone has a flat screen television. So if you upgraded to a new TV, why would you want to continue using a bulky TV stand or entertainment center made for older tube televisions? Those stands have a large width to accommodate the large girth of the out of date machine.  Our selection of flat screen TV stands have a smaller width while still providing ample room to store DVD players, consoles, movies, etc.

Start by considering the space. Which room is housing the stand? A large living room? The bedroom? The living room television is most likely the hub for your entire household and for entertainment purposes. Big flat screen means an equally large entertainment center to hold all your movies and consoles. For televisions in the bedroom, or for the minimalist, we also have simpler models with just enough shelf space for your other electronic devices.

Our flat screen TV stands come in all sizes and finishes. Choose from traditional wood or sleek and modern tempered glass. Some models feature all open shelving, while others have cabinet doors to keep items neatly stored out of sight. And with affordable sale prices, you can receive the most storage for your money. Find a beautiful new addition to the room by shopping our vast selection.

Add Personality with Bathroom Vanity Sinks

August 6th, 2012 | Posted by KristenM in Home Furniture - (0 Comments)

home furnitureEvery room in the home has an opportunity to be a conversation piece, a representation of personal style and flair. It’s all about choosing the right home furniture to properly showcase your tastes. Although we may not spend quite as much time in the bathroom as we do our bedroom, TV room, or even the kitchen, that’s no excuse to skimp on the furniture.

Instead of a simple, boring pedestal sink, why not choose a luxurious vanity sink? Here at Everything Furniture we have beautiful sinks that will make your guests jealous and help you feel as though your bathroom is a five star spa. The Palermo Double Bathroom Vanity is an ideal choice for the modernist who prefers clean lines and high functionality. Shoppers have the choice of stone, granite, or white marble countertops.

How do you feel about the vanity being a work of art with a purpose? Choose the Sink Chest in Brown/Brass Metal, pictured to the right. The antique, old world style is a gorgeous fit to a bathroom classically designed. This piece, like many of the others with an antique design are actually made to order. They will be quite the addition to your bathroom!

Let the home furniture do the speaking for you by choosing furniture with personality.

Furniture Tips for Space Savers

July 23rd, 2012 | Posted by KristenM in Home Furniture - (0 Comments)

home furnitureAre you living the dream…in a small apartment or home? For many of us, it takes years to save up for the home, or apartment/condo, of our dreams. We usually start out small and make our way up to homes with more space than we know how to handle. So for now, how can you compensate for a serious lack of space?

Start by shying away from oversized furniture. Sectional sofas and dressers with 10 drawers are not for you. Instead, look for furniture with multiple purposes. A few weeks ago we mentioned platform beds with side drawers. This can make up for small dressers that do not provide you with ample storage space. Another bedroom alternative is a bed with room for storage bins underneath.

In terms of living room furniture, a loveseat is a comfy option. If you need additional seating, add an accent chair. Pick out a matching ottoman with a lid for even more storage space. Can’t fit a TV stand? Mount it on the wall and purchase vertical media storage.

Floating shelves work well in every room of the house, whether it be the bathroom, living room, or bedroom. They will leave you with a place to walk and the home will not look overcrowded with so many pieces of furniture.

Instead of a kitchen table, try a kitchen island against the wall with two counterstools. Or a kitchen cart that can be easily moved out of the way when cooking.
